Mr. Attaf holds talks with prime minister, Palestinian PM

The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held Monday bilateral talks with Palestine's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mohammad Mustafa, before the opening of the Arab-Islamic Summit proceedings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was an opportunity for the two sides to discuss the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, on the backdrop of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza and the Israeli escalation on several fronts in the region.

In the meeting, Attaf reiterated Algeria's absolute solidarity and full support for the Palestinian brothers in these difficult times.

The foreign minister stressed our country's commitment to continuing to work, from its Security Council headquarters, for the defence of the Palestinian cause and the support of all efforts and steps aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and the establishment of its independent and sovereign state, with Al-Quds as capital.
